Alessandro Carbonare
First clarinet of the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia since 2003, Alessandro Carbonare has lived in Paris, where for 15 years he has occupied the position of first solo clarinet at the Orchester National de France.
Still in the role of first clarinet, he also had important collaborations with the Berliner Philarmoniker, the Chicago Symphony and the New York Philharmonic.
It has established itself in the most important international competitions: Geneva, Prague, Toulon, Munich and Paris. Since his debut with the Suisse Romande Orchestra of Geneva, Alessandro Carbonare has performed as soloist, among others, with the National Orchestra of Spain, the Oslo Philharmonic, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra of Monaco, the Orchester National de France, Wien Sinfonietta, Berlin Radio Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra and all the most important Italian orchestras.
He recorded a large part of the repertoire for Harmonia Mundi and JVC Victor also giving great impetus to the new music for clarinet, commissioning new concerts to Ivan Fedele, Salvatore Sciarrino, Luis De Pablo and Claude Bolling.
Passionate about chamber music, he has always been a member of the Quintetto Bibiena and regularly collaborates with eminent artists and friends such as Mario Brunello, Marco Rizzi, Pinkas Zukerman, Alexander Lonquich, Emmanuel Pahud, Andrea Lucchesini, Wolfram Christ, Il Trio di Parma, Enrico Dindo , Massimo Quarta, Luis Sclavis, Paquito D'Riveira and many others.
"Guest Professor" in some of the most important Conservatories of the world (including Royal College of London, Juillard School of New York, Conservatory of Paris, School of Arts of Tokyo) has been part of the juries of all the most important international competitions for his instrument (Geneva, Munich, Prague, Beijing, "K.Nielsen" in Denmark and "B. Crusell" in Finland).
On a personal invitation by Claudio Abbado, Alessandro Carbonare accepted the role of first clarinet in the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Mozart Orchestra, with which, under the direction of M° Abbado, he recorded the K622 concert for Deutsche Grammophon. bassetto clarinet, work that won the 49 Record Academy Awards 2013.
He is a clarinet professor at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
